Several students'unions have yearly celebrations where men are supposed to show up in 'white-tie' or 'black-tie'.

Black-tie means you have to go in a smoking and the white-tie dresscode means that you are better off in a 'rokkostuum'.

It is good to know that it is not according the dresscode to wear a watch or a belt. Among students it is allowed to wear 'suspenders'.
